A college baseball umpire is catching some heat after yelling an obscene phrase at a batter who was complaining about a call.
The incident occurred during a matchup between Central Florida and Wichita State during the Athletic American Conference tournament on Friday night, Fox News first reported.
Andrew Brait was at bat for Florida when home plate umpire Jimmy Paylor called a strikeout.
Brait was visibly unhappy with the call -- the pitch was questionably out of the strike zone -- but it was Paylor's reaction that grabbed attention.
After Brait uttered something to the umpire, Paylor quickly ripped off his mask and appeared to shout "F**k you!" at the infielder as TV cameras were zoomed in on the interaction.
"Woah! That's unacceptable," one of the announcers says.
The broadcast then shared a replay of the call in slow motion.
"That was unacceptable. You can see exactly what he said," the announcer says. "No matter what a college athlete says to you, as on official, you don't -- you absolutely cannot say what he said to Andrew Brait. That's completely unacceptable."
"Some words that I don't think belong out there," the other announcer added.
Neither Brait nor Paylor appear to have commented on the incident.
