Bill Cosby’s representative Andrew Wyatt said this week that the comedian is due "millions and millions of dollars," for his time behind bars.

"We feel that he’s owed a lot of money," said Wyatt, according to ABC News 10 out of Albany, N.Y. "Mr. Cosby was given an unwanted two-year and ten-month vacation that he never ask for. His constitutional rights were abolished, his due process was stripped away from him."

Cosby – an 83-year-old comedian known for decades of stand-up and T.V. work, including his own eponymous sitcom – was convicted on three felony counts of aggravated indecent assault in 2018 and sentenced to three to 10 years in prison, said NBC. He was charged for drugging and assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004. Overall, 60 women have accused Cosby of assault.

However, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court last month overruled Cosby’s conviction on the grounds that prosecutors obtained Cosby’s testimony in an inappropriate manner and it could not be used as evidence.

After Cosby was released, Wyatt announced that the comedian planned to go on a stand-up comedy tour. Now, Wyatt has cited a proposal that Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf introduced that would pay those wrongfully convicted $50,000 for every year spent in prison to argue for a payout to Cosby, ABC 10 said.

"Under Wolf’s plan, the funds would go to exonerees who have had convictions overturned on the grounds that they were innocent of the crime accused," said Penn Live.

Wyatt has not yet provided a specific dollar amount for what Cosby’s camp believes the comedian is owed and said they are “looking into different routes.”
