NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A customer slashed a teenage employee’s face inside a fried chicken and burger joint in the Bronx in an attack that was caught on surveillance camera, the NYPD said Wednesday.

The 18-year-old employee was working the cash register at a Texas Chicken and Burgers on Crotona Parkway in Crotona around 11:30 p.m. on July 23 when a patron standing at the counter suddenly slashed his face with a weapon, police said.
The customer walked out of the eatery after the attack, the NYPD said.

The employee was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition, according to police.
Police are now searching for the suspect, a male of an unknown age who was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, a black T-shirt, purple shorts and black sneakers.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
