Walt Disney World announced that its theme parks and water parks would be closed on Wednesday and Thursday due to the fast-approaching Hurricane Ian.
The theme park shared the update on Twitter, saying it would "provide updates" while the storm progresses on whether or not the park would be closed for any days past Thursday.
"We are monitoring weather conditions so we can make timely decisions for the safety of our cast and guests, including when it's safe for cast to return to the site to prepare for reopening," the statement said.
Florida is next up in Ian's path of destruction after the Category 3 storm hit Cuba on Tuesday. Rains and tropical storm-strength winds are expected to hit Florida on Tuesday. Officials have also shared that life-threatening storm surges and flooding rains are expected to come later, Wednesday and Thursday.
Florida officials are calling for residents on the state's west coast to evacuate as a life-threatening storm surge is expected in the Fort Myers and Tampa areas. Michael Brennan, the acting deputy director of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, said it's now or never.
"Today is really going to be your last day to … actually move out (of) the storm surge warning area," Brennan told CNN.
