Donald Trump Jr. has recently come under fire for a series of posts he made mocking former first lady Michelle Obama during the Super Bowl.

On social media, Trump Jr. posted a picture of former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Levon Kirkland with a caption that said, “I found this rare Michelle Obama rookie card.”

The post is a reference to the conspiracy theory that Obama is a trans woman, something that he before has discussed on his podcast, “Triggered.”

“Just a little Super Bowl nostalgia…” Trump Jr. wrote on Instagram. “Deer fact checkers I’m told that this is a joke, so please treat it accordingly though I personally am not 100% sure.”

Noted conspiracy theorist Alex Jones has also pushed the theory, most recently last year.

Many shared their displeasure with Trump Jr.’s post, with journalist Aaron Rupar calling it “insane levels of racist misogyny.”
