
On Saturday night, a helicopter crashed near Las Vegas, New Mexico, leaving four people feared dead, according to a statement from local law enforcement.
The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department released a statement on Twitter sharing that three of its personnel were on board the department’s “Metro 2” aircraft when it came down.
In addition, a member of the Bernalillo County Fire Department was also on board, the statement shared.
The department shared that as of now, “There are no known survivors.”
The crash is being investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board, according to a statement from the agency.
The statement shared that the department is unaware of what caused the helicopter to crash as those on board “were headed back to Albuquerque after assisting fire crews with the East Mesa Fire.”
“Please keep these individuals and their families in your thoughts and prayers tonight,” it added.
