Four Seasons, known by most as a chain of luxury hotels, is now bringing its hospitality expertise to the sea. According to a recent press release, the Four Seasons Yacht will set sail in 2025.
An introduction to the yacht, which features a full-service spa, was included during the Monaco Yacht Show last month, said the company.
“The classic canoe-shaped aft will be home to an expansive pool deck, allowing for moments of leisure and relaxation,” that turns into an outdoor movie theatre. It will also have the spa, a salon, wellness programming and generous living space. “Many more of the vessel’s unique features and programming will be revealed in the coming months and up to the vessel’s delivery in late 2025,” said Four Seasons, which is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
To bring the new venture to life, the company partnered with Nadim Ashi and Philip Levine, “leading luxury entrepreneurs and bold visionaries of this exceptional yacht experience,” and Fincantieri, a shipbuilding group based in Trieste, Italy.
“We are excited to embrace this new opportunity with Four Seasons that will allow us to strengthen our global leadership position,” said Pierroberto Folgiero, Fincantieri CEO and managing director.
The yacht set to debut in 2025 is one of three possible vessels included in an order placed last July. The company said it is “the first of a fleet of Four Seasons Yachts over the next five years.”
This first vessel “will be marked by bespoke craftsmanship, personalized service and a dedication to excellence, appealing to discerning guests looking to reimagine their love of travel by experiencing the splendor of modern sea voyaging,” said Four Seasons.
Tillberg Design of Sweden is the lead architect responsible for the design of exterior and guest suites and London-based Martin Brudnizki Design Studio designed many of the guest areas. Prosper Assouline also worked on the project.
When it is ready to begin voyaging, the yacht will be 679 ft. long, 88.6 ft. wide and have 14 total decks and 95 “villa-like” accommodations with a network of adjoining suite accommodations. It is expected to cost $4.2 million per suite to build and feature amenities such as floor-to-ceiling windows, and nearly 8 ft. ceilings.
Its most expansive residence will be the four-level “Funnel Suite” with a private wading pool and dedicated private spa area.
“Together with our partners at Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings LTD, we are creating something extraordinary that combines their expertise with what Four Seasons does best – delivering unmatched quality and excellence, surrounded by beautiful acts of service and love for our guests,” said Christian Clerc, president of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
