A group of Disney World guests were put through a nightmare scenario last week when they were stranded on one of the park’s iconic rides for nearly 30 minutes.

According to Disney Food Blog, which cited a Disney employee, Expedition Everest at Disney World’s Animal Kingdom theme park in Florida was shut down for around 30 minutes on Thursday, with riders being stuck in two separate coaster cars.

The Cast Member shared with the blog that the incident was caused by “technical delays” that shut down the coaster, which is the tallest at any Disney theme park at 199.5 feet tall.

The ride sees its carts go up the mountain before it is intercepted by an angry yeti, but one car got stuck just as it began its climb up the mountain and the other on its way down.

Footage of the frozen coaster was posted on social media, with many sharing that they wouldn’t be happy if they were on the ride.

Disney has not responded to requests for comment on the situation from multiple news outlets.
