The U.S. Marshals' Lone Star Fugitive Task Force announced on Monday that Kaitlin Marie Armstrong, 34, was dropped off at Newark Liberty International Airport on May 18. She was last seen on May 14, boarding a New York-bound flight by way of Houston from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

Armstrong is alleged to have killed Anna Moriah "Mo" Wilson, a 25-year-old Vermont native who lived in San Francisco and visited Austin, Texas for a race last month. The U.S. Marshals said Monday they are offering $5,000 for information leading to Armstrong's arrest.

"Kaitlin Armstrong is accused of a very serious crime that she needs to answer for," Susan Pamerleau, U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Texas, said in a statement provided by the agency. "The best thing she can do at this point, wherever she is, is surrender to authorities, so she can return safely to Austin and answer the charges against her. She needs to know the Marshals are not going to stop looking for her."

Police pronounced Wilson dead on May 11 after a friend discovered her bleeding and unconscious from multiple gunshot wounds. Wilson, according to an arrest warrant, had briefly dated Colin Strickland – Armstrong's boyfriend – while Strickland and Armstrong had broken up.

She swam with Strickland on the night of May 11, returning to her friend’s home. Police said that, within a minute of Wilson locking the door, an SUV Armstrong admitted she owned parked near the home.

An anonymous caller told police that Armstrong said in January she was so angry she could kill Wilson after learning that Strickland and Wilson were still seeing each other. Armstrong also allegedly told the caller she had purchased or planned to purchase a gun. Strickland told police he bought a gun for her around that time.

Armstrong’s father, Michael, told "Good Morning America" in an interview last month that he knew "she just would not do something like this."

"We love you … and we are going to figure this out," he said, directly addressing his daughter.

No outbound tickets were booked under Armstrong's name on the day she was last seen, according to the U.S. Marshals. The agency considers her armed and dangerous.

Officials said Armstrong was last seen wearing a blue denim jacket, black shirt with a pink on the chest, white jeans, black and white shoes and "a possible yoga mat carrier" atop her shoulders. Armstrong is 5-foot-8 and weighs about 125 pounds, with long, curly light brown hair and hazel eyes.
