NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Weeks after a man allegedly performed sex acts on a human body on a Lower Manhattan subway train, police have arrested a suspect in the macabre case.
Felix Rojas, 44, of Brooklyn, was charged with rape Sunday night in connection with the shocking sex abuse on a downtown R train at the South Ferry/Whitehall Street station in the Financial District.
Police believe he’s the man who was caught on camera violating an “unresponsive” man who was later confirmed to be dead aboard the train.
According to sources, surveillance video from 12:20 a.m. on April 9 shows a man performing various sex acts on the body inside the train car.

Less than two hours before the sex attack, police believe a woman stole from the same victim as he was lying lifeless on the train around 10:45 p.m. The woman is still being sought for grand larceny.
Investigators believe the man died of natural causes aboard the train sometime that night.
His body was eventually discovered by an MTA conductor, prompting police to review the surveillance footage that showed the alleged sex acts.
