Fans of the donut giant know that they can claim a free Krispy Kreme donut with proof of vaccination. But did you know that you can technically cash in on that free donut every single day?
Joe Caramagna is a 45-year-old comics writer in northern New Jersey and a diehard donut fan. As of writing, he's claimed 31 free donuts from Krispy Kreme, taking full advantage of their vaccine promotion.
Caramagna heard about the promotion through social media. "I heard about it the way everyone did, through social media, through their Twitter account, which I follow very, very intently," he told Slate.

Caramagna has a reputation for loving on donuts of all kinds, even seeking out a city's best donut shop when he travels to new places.
"It's always been my thing," he explains.
The donut connoisseur didn't realize he'd be seeking out a free donut every single day until a Krispy Kreme location opened up less than a mile from where he lives. "It's kismet, right?" he said.
Of course, he decided to alter his daily walking routine to include Krispy Kreme in an effort to claim his free donut every single day.
So will Caramagna ever stop? Or will he just keep claiming free donuts forever? Turns out, he has an answer to this question.
"My goal is to get to at least 125," he said. "I only came up with that number because when I happened to look at the calendar, I saw there were 250 days left in the year, and I figured that a doughnut every other day would be attainable and somewhat reasonable."
Not wanting to "seem greedy," Caramagna has been skipping certain days of the week when it comes to snagging his free donut.
Caramagna admits that his sister, wife, and mother all make fun of him for his donut quest. He also admits that he gets a notification whenever Krispy Kreme's Hot Light is on - an indicator that the donuts are fresh.
