(WWJ) Once upon a time in 2017, a love story flourished at a metro Detroit Subway restaurant thanks to the best wing-mom around... And, out of that, some once in a lifetime photos.

Julie Bushart, a project manager in advertising in Livonia, and retired mother, Lisa, took a lunch break from shopping and manicures at the nearby Subway. Little did Julie know her future husband, Zack, would be ordering a corned beef sub at the counter when the mother-daughter duo entered.

“I see this really tall good looking guy,” Lisa said. Despite nudging her daughter to check him out, Julie wasn't budging. Once Lisa noticed the mystery man checking out her daughter she doubled down and said, “Julie, you’ve got to give this guy your number, talk to him or say hi.”

Julie wasn't having it and ended up telling her mom to pass along her number for her.

“Oh, maybe I will,” said Lisa.

Sitting a few tables away from Zack, the two were cooking up a plan, “Julie and I were giggling and we were so nervous we couldn’t even eat.” They ended up putting her number on their receipt to pass along to him.

But when future husband got up and left, Lisa grabbed the receipt and chased him down in the parking lot. “Excuse me,” she said, “would you take my daughter’s number?”

To Julie’s surprise, he said, “Absolutely, she’s gorgeous.”

A half-hour later, Zack texted her. Two days later they had their first date. The rest is history.

“This definitely wouldn’t have happened without her, I’m way too shy,” said Julie about her mom.

In order for this legendary photoshoot to happen, Zack ended up reaching out to Subway months before the wedding just to let them know about their story, not expecting anything in return.

There was absolutely something returned: sub sandwiches and cookies for late-night wedding snacks including after-ceremony photos in front of that sacred Subway where their love story began next to a Subway branded convertible.

“It was a really fun and cool way to go back to the place where we met to take pictures and that as a memory from our wedding day,” said Julie.
