A recent Southwest Airlines flight took on a real “don’t make me turn this car around” dad vibe while waiting to take off.
The reason? One passenger “AirDropping” nude photos to everyone on the plane.
AirDrop is a function available on iPhones that can send large files directly to other iPhones without needing a wifi or cellular connection.
“Quit sending naked pictures. People do realize kids can have iPhones too, right?” the pilot scolded over the public address system.
Then the pilot threatened to taxi back to the gate and force the passengers to disembark and deal with airport security if the barrage of revealing pictures to every iPhone onboard the flight didn’t cease.
The pilot concluded by announcing that “Vacation is going to be ruined.
Whatever that AirDrop thing is, quit sending naked pictures, and let’s get yourselves to Cabo.”
The incident was caught on video and uploaded to TikTok by user Teighlor Marsalis (@teighmars).
In a statement about the incident emailed to Gizmodo, Southwest wrote, “The safety, security, and well-being of Customers and Employees is the Southwest Team’s highest priority at all times. When made aware of a potential problem, our Employees address issues to support the comfort of those traveling with us.”
