ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - For the second time in nine days, police say a young boy in St. Louis has assisted in a carjacking. Last week an 11-year-old pistol-whipped a man while stealing a vehicle with his mother. This Thursday, a boy and a young man with a gun robbed another victim of his vehicle.
In both instances, the victim had agreed to give the suspect a ride. And when the driver stops, the suspects pull out a weapon and forcibly take the vehicle, police say.
On Thursday, a boy estimated to be between 12- and 14-years-old assisted in a carjacking on Broadway in north St. Louis around 5 a.m. Police say the boy and another young man pulled a gun on the victim and forced him out of the vehicle.
The suspect has not been found.
On Sept. 21, a 48-year-old victim told police he had agreed to drive a woman and her son to the 4200 block of Page Blvd. Then he says the woman grabbed the keys from the ignition and child beat him with a gun.
Police have not reported an arrest in the case.
