Nebraska is just the latest state to experience weird weather this summer. Thunderstorms and extreme winds left nearly 200,000 customers in the Omaha area without power, caused damage to property, and even flipped over a small plane.
Wind gusts in the area reached as high as 90 mph, leaving a string of downed trees and powerlines. Personal property was also damaged, including cars and homes.
One resident was even seen sitting in a downed tree playing his guitar the day after the storms.
According to WOWT-TV, at Millard Airport, a small plane was blown over and up against a fence. Some residents took to social media, sharing photos of the aircraft on its back.
Local authorities have advised residents to stay off the roads unless necessary until obstructions can be cleared.
No tornadoes were spotted, but the National Weather Service reported that wind gusts of 75 mph were what caused sirens to blast throughout the area.
