Federal prosecutors have filed charges against a man accused of storming the U.S. Capitol on January 6 after he bragged about his exploits on a dating app.

Robert Chapman of New York has been charged with four misdemeanors including violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.

CNN reported that court documents show that about a week after the attack, Chapman told someone he matched with on the dating app Bumble that "I did storm the Capitol" and "made it all the way into Statuary Hall," saying he spoke with multiple members of the media about it.

Screenshots show that the other Bumble user simply responded: "We are not a match."

Prosecutors said the user reached out to the FBI and investigators were able to match the photos on Chapman’s Bumble profile with police body camera footage from inside the building.

Chapman also posted about the siege on Facebook, allegedly writing, "I’M F---IN INSIDE THE CRAPITOL," on Jan. 6.

The extensive photos, videos and live streams posted online by people who participated in the attack has led to many arrests.
