Pennsylvania authorities have launched a statewide search for a clown who robbed a convenience store with a samurai sword.
The robbery occurred on October 13 just before 5 a.m. at the Uni-Mart in Chestnuthill Township, about two hours north of Philadelphia.
The suspect -- who was wearing a clown mask, no shoes, and brandishing a samurai sword -- entered through the store's rear door and demanded cash from the clerk, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
After the clerk handed over an unspecified amount of money, the samurai clown took off on foot and disappeared into a wooded area near the store, police said.
The suspect is described as a white male wearing a clown mask, white t-shirt, gray sweatpants, and black socks. He remains at large.
Anyone with information about the suspect or the robbery is asked to contact police. A cash reward is being offered.
