A former substitute teacher from Miami Beach Public Schools was arrested on several charges, including human trafficking after he used social media to make friends with students and sell them narcotics, police said.

Enreeka Nalasco, 32, is accused of giving drugs to teen girls aging 11 to 14, in exchange for sexual favors at Nautilus Middle School, according to Miami CBS.

In late March, authorities were made aware of Nalasco’s actions when police found teen girls with drugs and vape pens in their possession.

The students told police they received the drugs from Nalasco, who went by “Swaggy” online, as he befriended and offered them the drugs on Snapchat.

Students informed Miami Dade Schools Police that Nalasco would accept sexual favors instead of cash when selling the drugs.

Nalasco was fired after an internal investigation revealed he had used social media to inappropriately contact students while working as a substitute at Miami Beach Senior High, an arrest report said, CBS reported.

It was detailed in the same report that he sexually battered at least one 12-year-old girl.

Miami-Dade County Schools released a statement on the arrest condemning Nolasco for his actions.

“Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) is deeply disturbed by the troubling allegations made against this former employee,” the statement read. “This individual has not been employed with M-DCPS since 2018 and is precluded from seeking future employment with this District.”

Currently, Nalasco is being held without bond.
