A moment from a Texas Southern football game has gone viral on social media after it showed a tuba player knocking out a heckler without stopping his music.
The incident happened at Texas Southern’s game against Jackson State on Saturday and included a member of Texas Southern’s band and a fan at the game. You can see the video HERE on Twitter.
In one video of the interaction, the Jackson State fan can be seen confronting the tuba player while holding a drink and yelling at him as the band member tried to play his instrument.
While the band member tried to talk through the altercation with his words, he eventually escalated things, decking the heckler with a fury of punches. The heckler can then be seen spiraling backward.
In the video, the band member can be heard telling the man to “f— off” before things got physical.
According to another video, the heckler was angry because he had been spit on.
It isn’t clear if the police were called after the altercation broke out or if the heckler sustained any injuries. Any punishment for the tuba player was also not immediately clear.
