President-elect Donald Trump appeared to take a shot at Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday, calling him the “governor” of the “Great State of Canada.”

“It was a pleasure to have dinner the other night with Governor Justin Trudeau of the Great State of Canada,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. “I look forward to seeing the Governor again soon so that we may continue our in-depth talks on Tariffs and Trade, the results of which will be truly spectacular for all! DJT.”

Trump was referring to a dinner he had with Trudeau after he threatened to impose a 25% tariff on Canada and Mexico if the flow of migrants and drugs into the US wasn’t seriously addressed by both nations.
