“Total surrender and dedication to Jesus is the greatest day of my life. No worries, no hate, no judgment… only love!” said wrestling icon Hulk Hogan in an Instagram post this week.
It shows the retired 70-year-old wrestler (real name Terry Bollea) in a pool at Indian Rocks Baptist Church of Largo, Fla. Included in the post are videos and photos. One video shows Hogan being submerged in baptismal water and another shows his wife, Sky Daily Hogan, being submerged as well.
Hogan was previously married to Linda Marie Bollea from 1983 to 2009 and the couple has two children. He was then married to Jennifer McDaniel from 2010 to 2021, said People magazine, and he married Daily Hogan, 45, this September, according to People.
A Georgia native, Hogan is known for his long wrestling career and he is still known as a key figure in “sports-entertainment” according to World Wrestling Entertainment. His fans are known as Hulkamaniacs, and they probably know that religion has been a part of his wrestling persona. He would tell them to “say their prayers and eat their vitamins.”
Today, Hogan’s online merchandise shop even features a T-shirt with the bible verse John 3:16.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life,” reads the verse. Hogan recently wore the shirt with the verse to an event in Tampa, Fla.
