
Tired of vacationing to the same beach every year, and searching for a more exciting outdoor experience around the world?
Then you're in luck, as Superdry released a recent rankings of the top countries for outdoor adventure. Whether you love to go camping, hiking, rock climbing, surfing, skydiving, or any other thrilling activities, then this list is one to check out.
Coming in at No. 1 was Croatia with an outdoor adventure score of 81.6 out of 100.
Superdry said that Croatia is home to the best rock climbing location in all of Southern Europe at the Paklenica National Park, which has more than 400 different climbing routes that people can take, in addition to varying difficulty options.
Close behind Croatia in second place was Israel, with an outdoor adventure score of 80.6 Besides the popular Dead Sea, Israel has some great hiking spots and national parks for people to visit.
"With lush hikes such as Nahal Jilabun and Nahal Amud which traverse beside rivers and waterfalls, and opportunities to hike around five of the world's seven craters including Makhtesh Ramon, there are no end of landscapes on offer for those visiting the country," Superdry said.
Hong Kong placed in third with an outdoor adventure score of 78.7, thanks to their 24 national parks, and the number of beaches and mountain trails. The Tai Mo Shan Country Park has more than 100 species of birds, butterflies, turtles, and snakes, in addition to the highest peak in Hong Kong at 957 meters (3,140 feet).
The United Kingdom tailed Hong Kong by just 0.4 points, finishing in fourth with a score of 78.3. The region has plenty of camping options throughout its beaches and mountains, and also has a number of great skydiving locations.
Singapore rounded out the top five with an outdoor adventure score of 77.6. The country was ranked second for top countries for hiking and number one for the best national parks. There is one national park for every 0.8 square miles in Singapore.
Other destinations around the world that made the list of top outdoor adventure spots included Costa Rica with a score of 76.6, Switzerland scoring a 73.7, and Austria, Germany, and Ireland all tied with a 73.3 overall score.
