The polling place on wheels will be popping up all over the county between now and the election to provide services to targeted communities.

Jim Irizarry, San Mateo County's Assistant Chief Elections Officer, told KCBS Radio that even with the 45 vote centers that will eventually go online in the county, there still will be gaps.

"Particularly in our coast side areas and our urban area, those area do not facilities," he said. "They do not have vote centers, per se. So we're bringing a vote center to them."

Upcoming stops include the Half Moon bay Airport, Pescadero High School and the Cow Palace.
