Trump balks at impeachment, 25th amendment: 'Zero risk to me but will come back to haunt Biden'

Donald Trump isn't concerned about the House of Representative's upcoming vote on a resolution calling for Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment against the outgoing president, arguing it's of "zero risk" him -- and going as far to claim President-elect Joe Biden may one day be in similar circumstances.

"The 25th amendment is of zero risk to me but will come back to haunt Joe Biden and the Biden administration," Trump said in Texas, where he is visiting a section of the border wall. "As the expression goes, 'be careful what you wish for.'

He continued, "The impeachment hoax is a continuation of the greatest and most viscous witch hunt in the history of our country, and is causing tremendous anger and division and pain far greater than most people will ever understand, which is dangerous for the USA, especially at this very tender time."

The measure, which is likely to pass the Democratic-controlled House, urges Pence to "immediately" use his powers to convene the Cabinet and declare Trump unfit for office and assume the powers and responsibilities of acting president of the U.S.
