A man in Fresno, accused of having one of the largest collections of child pornography the county sheriff's department has ever seen, is now out on bail.
He was taken into custody and later released hours after his arrest when he posted bond on $40,000 bail.
Fresno County sheriff's spokesman Tony Botti tells CBS Fresno investigators got a tip and searched the man's home finding more than 1,000 DVDs along with videos and photos of child pornography.
"I know it really upsets the public, as it probably should, to come up with such a small amount of money to be able to bond out but we have to adhere to the bail schedule and that's what it is," he says.
He says detectives do not believe the man had any direct contact with kids.
