A Salinas man was sentenced to 238 years and eight months to life in prison for a sexually assaulting three women, Monterey County District Attorney Jeannine Pacioni announced Thursday.
Ignacio Ramirez, 39, was found guilty on June 23 for 20 felonies including sexually assaulting a minor 10 years of age or younger, breaking into her residence, committing sexual battery by restraint and forcible rape, Pacioni reported.
In 2018, the minor went to her school nurse scared she was pregnant.
She reported that Ramirez, who was her family member, had sexually abused her more than 10 times since she was 9-years-old. Officials said the victim's mother was also raped by Ramirez numerous times.
While detectives were investigating, they learned of another victim Ramirez had sexually assaulted when she was 10-years-old.
Out of the 20 felonies committed, 19 of them have been considered violent crimes.
Along with his sentence, Ramirez will also be required to register as a sex offender for life.
