A man in Santa Ana, California ahs spent more than seven months in the hospital with COVID-19.
And he's not done yet.
Carnell Hampton has still got a couple of weeks of therapy before he can finally go home.
"Those 208 days weren't easy so these couple of weeks that I have to bang out at this acute rehab to try to my independence back together and being stable, man it just feels good, to be honest," he says.
But he tells KNX that's okay.
During his long hospital stay with COVID, he missed the birth of his second son and also lost part of one of his legs due to complications. Hampton tells KNX 1070 News he was able to witness some of the birth. His family has set up a GoFundMe page to help with the bills.
He credits his religious faith for helping him get through.
