Here's how to help those impacted by the crisis in Ukraine

Many are looking for useful and effective ways to donate to the millions of people facing the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.

There are several ways to help.

Airbnb
Airbnb's nonprofit is asking those wanting to help — particularly those living in European countries near Ukraine — to sign up to provide temporary housing for refugees or donate to fund their stays.

CARE
The international humanitarian group is providing support to partners on the ground in Ukraine, including food, water and other items to families fleeing violence. Contribute to CARE's efforts here.

Doctors Without Borders
The medical relief organization has staffers in Ukraine "seeking ways to respond to the medical and humanitarian needs as the conflict evolves." Offer support to Doctors Without Borders here.

International Committee of the Red Cross
The Swiss organization is on the ground in over 90 countries and supports people affected by conflict and armed violence, focusing on the work of the Ukrainian Red Cross in helping those impacted by the war. Donate here.

International Medical Corps
The first responders' organization has teams "in-country and launching a response...to provide emergency care to vulnerable civilians fleeing war." Donate to International Medical Corps' campaign here.

Kyiv Independent
The English-language news website has launched a GoFundMe campaign.

Project Hope
The global health and humanitarian relief organization is on the ground delivering food, hygiene and baby care items, clothing, medicine and medical supplies in and around Ukraine. Come Back Alive Foundation
Since its foundation in 2014, Come Back Alive touts itself as the largest foundation support to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Donate here.

Ukrainian Congress Committee of America
Since 1940, the UCCA has enabled the Ukrainian-American community to generate capital and momentum to aid the people of Ukraine. From World War II to the fall of the Soviet Union in 1990, the group has championed and supported Ukrainians for decades. The UCCA has using one-time or ongoing donations to plan "for the provision of vital humanitarian aid to this population, as well as to the frontline defenders."

UNICEF
The global group devoted to safeguarding children providing humanitarian supplies to Ukrainian families without safe water or electricity due to the conflict. Contributions to UNICEF's efforts can be made here.

United Help Ukraine
Started in 2014 after a Russian attack on Ukraine, the grassroots, volunteer-based organization partners with American suppliers and logistical companies to deliver help quickly to Ukrainian NGOs, hospitals and other organizations. Click here to donate.
