Congressman Sam Liccardo pursues federal funding to help save crumbling Pacifica Pier

Emergency stabilization work is underway at the Pacifica Pier after cracks appeared in the concrete, and Rep. Sam Liccardo is asking for immediate federal money to help save the landmark. One of San Francisco’s most iconic music festivals has made its annual debut. A South Bay resident who traveled through SFO may have exposed others to measles. The possible exposure came as thousands of soccer fans were arriving in the Bay Area for the World Cup tournament.
