New NASA project to map out the Earths topography

A researcher from UCLA is teaming up with NASA to map the earth's topography, vegetation, ice and coastal regions with unprecedented 3D detail. It's a new satellite project which will provide researchers with their most detailed view ever, of Earth’s forests and ice sheets.
