Unruly American Airlines passenger duct taped to seat after trying to open door mid-flight

An American Airlines flight from Milwaukee to Dallas was quite chaotic as passengers were forced to tape an unruly man to his seat after he charged a flight attendant and tried to open a plane door mid-flight.

According to a police report obtained by WFAA, the man got out of his seat on flight 1915 and told a flight attendant that he needed to get off the plane. When he was told that wasn’t an option, he grew louder and angrier, rushing members of the flight crew and trying to reach for the cabin door.

The police report goes on to say that one of the flight attendants was able to stop him, with three other passengers also stepping in.

The group wrestled the man to a seat and used duct tape from an onboard flight kit to tie up his wrists and ankles, effectively restraining him.

When the plane reached its final destination of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, officers with the airport’s Department of Public Safety boarded the plane and took the man into custody, according to a DFW spokesperson.
