PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Governor Tom Wolf has mobilized the National Guard due to the threats of riots and violence throughout the state of Pennsylvania.
"There are actually 120 quick reaction force guards in Pittsburgh. They haven't been deployed, they're not on the streets, but they are there in case the city needs them," Gov. Wolf tells the KDKA Radio Morning Show on Tuesday.
He said there are "a number" of National Guard troops in Philadelphia.
"The focus is really to try to relieve pressure on the local police; so that they can do what they feel they need to do, to basically address the looting," Gov. Wolf explains.
Food stores, pharmacies and banks were the biggest targets, according to Gov. Wolf.
