KECKSBURG, Pa. (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Things will be "other-worldly" in a small Westmoreland County town this weekend at the 14th annual UFO festival in Kecksburg.
Paranormal Investigator Stan Gordon, who will speak at the three-day event, tells Lynn Hayes-Freeland it commemorates the evening of December 9 1965.
“This brilliant fireball that was seen from Ontario, Canada, over in Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania and it came in right over the greater Pittsburgh area.
Reports came in that whatever the object was it fell into a wooden ravine near the little village of kecksburg, Westmoreland County.
Reports say the object was hauled off by military personnel the next morning.
Gordon says there will be plenty to do.
“We have UFO and Big Foot researchers with displays, we have the conference Sunday afternoon at 1 o’clock where we have several out of state speakers this year,” said Gordon. “I will also be giving an update on the search of UFO and Big Foot sightings around the greater Pittsburgh area.”
UFO Fest starts Friday at 6 p.m. and goes through Sunday at 5 p.m.
