PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival kicks off its 60th year on Friday.

"All-in-all, we end up with just under 400 artists over the ten days, in addition to all of our music and public art."

The artist booths will change five times throughout the ten days, so don't wait to make a purchase if you see something that you like.

There will also be other activities and attractions taking place for kids to enjoy.

"The park is a perfect place for families. We've got a Giant Eagle Creativity Zone, where people of all ages can make their own art," Aziz explains.

If you plan on attending, you may want to bring an appetite.

"Both Friday's we'll have eight food trucks set up on the street, over the weekends we'll have three; that's in addition to all of our concessions that are here all ten days."

The festival runs through June 16th.

You can learn more about the event by listening to the whole interview with Sarah below.
