PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - In Allegheny County's daily update of the Coronavirus Thursday, the number of confirmed cases grew by 16, 22 less than Wednesday.

The total number of cases in the county is now at 1,289. Of those, 1,244 are confirmed and 45 are probable cases.


A total of 94 people have now died as a result of COVID-19 in Allegheny County that is eight more than Wednesday.

Of those deaths, 84 are confirmed (had a positive test) with 10 probable. A probable death is one where COVID-19 is on the death certificate but never has a positive test for coronavirus.

There are also eight additional hospitalizations in the county with the total number of those treated, past or present, at 236
