HARRISBURG, PA (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) – As of Monday at midnight, there are 948 additional cases of coronavirus in Pennsylvania.
That brings the commonwealth's total to 33,232 cases in all 67 counties.
The PA Department of Health has also started tallying electronic and probable deaths, which brings the death toll to 1,204.
"As we start to see the number of new COVID-19 cases decrease across the state that does not mean we can stop practicing social distancing," Sec. of Health Dr. Rachel Levine said. "We must continue to stay home to protect ourselves, our families and our community. If you must go out, please make as few trips as possible and wear a mask to protect not only yourself, but others. We need all Pennsylvanians to continue to heed these efforts to protect our vulnerable Pennsylvanians, our health care workers and frontline responders."
There have been 129,720 people who have tested negative to date.
In nursing and personal care homes across there state there are 4,689 resident cases of COVID-19 with 504 cases among employees.
682 of the state's 1,204 deaths have occurred in those in a nursing or personal care home.
