PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Pittsburgh Police are investigating a case of animal cruelty.
A person on Knox Avenue in Knoxville waved down an officer around 7:50 a.m. Wednesday to tell them a dog was tied to a dumpster.
The emaciated dog was found shivering next to the dumpster outside of an apartment complex.
A dog crate was found inside the dumpster.
Animal Control transported the dog to Humane Animal Rescue.
The Rescue tells KDKA Radio, the dog is “healthy and doing well” but no other information or photos are being released at this time.
