PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) – The Allegheny County Health Department has announced two additional deaths on Friday along with 21 new cases of COVID-19.

That is 10 less than on Thursday.


The total number of cases of coronavirus is now at 1,739, that includes 1,641 confirmed cases with 98 probable.

A total of 146 people have died as a result of coronavirus in Allegheny County. 13e of those deaths are confirmed with 11 probable.

All deaths are between the ages of 42-104 with 84 being the median age.

112 of those who have died have occurred in long-term care facilities.

To date, there have been 314 hospitalizations, past or present, one more compared to Thursday.

According to data from the PA Department of Health, 24,958 people have tested negative for coronavirus.
