PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Allegheny County Health Department is reporting 70 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday.
The cases come from 1,216 test results that were administered July 15 through August 4.
Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald tells KDKA Radio the positivity rate continues to fall with today's being around 5 percent.
The new cases range in age from 11 months to 94 year with the median age being 42.
68 of the new cases are confirmed and two are probable.
Since March 14, there have been 8,512 cases of coronavirus in the county with 701 hospitalized, past or present, and 248 deaths.
Of those hospitalized, 209 have been admitted to an intensive care unit and 87 have required ventilators.
