(Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - It may come as no surprise to Western Pennsylvanians but Allegheny National Forest has been ranked one of the best places in the country to go camping.
The national forest located in northwestern, PA about 100 miles away from Pittsburgh has been ranked by online camping marketplace Hipcamp, the 2nd best place in the country to camp behind Cape Code in Massachusetts.
Hipcamp used "internal data to showcase the top 10 areas that are most popular for camping across the US over the past year."
