WASHINGTON, Pa. (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Authorities have recovered the body of a missing 15-year-old boy from Jacobs Creek in Washington County Wednesday afternoon.
The teen is believed to be from McKeesport and the incident is being investigated as an accidental drowning.
An autopsy will be performed.
The search was called off temporarily overnight around 2 a.m. and resumed Wednesday morning.
The search area was near Chaintown Bridge Road close to the Westmoreland-Fayette County line.
Posts on social media say the teen was swimming with friends.
It is the second drowning in the area in the past two years.
