
PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Federal authorities haveA announced indictments against 26 people charged with drug trafficking and violence from the East End to Latrobe.
U.S. Attorney Scott Brady says 23 of the 26 members of “The Shot Boyz” gang are behind bars.
“So today we are here to announce the dismantling of another violent street gang in the City of Pittsburgh, The Shot Boyz gang,” said Brady.
It was a five-month wiretap investigation linking suspects from Pittsburgh to Latrobe.
They are accused of distributing Fentanyl since March of 2019.
“We seized $152,000, 13 firearms and significant quantities of heroin, crack cocaine, powder cocaine and Fentanyl,” said Brady.
The suspects live in the City of Pittsburgh, Munhall, McKeesport, Wilkinsburg, Verona, Penn Hills, Monroeville and Latrobe.
Brady said gang is locally based and has ties to Detroit and Philadelphia, where the drugs were coming from.
