PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) – After two months, a section of Babcock Boulevard in McCandless has been reopened.

The Department of Public Works announced Monday that the section of Babcock Boulevard near its intersection with Fairfield Road can now be used by traffic.

The section of the road had been closed since June 10th for preservation of Little Pine Creek Bridge No 11.

The work was done by Pugliano Construction of Pittsburgh as part of the $1.7 million dollar 2019 Capital Bridge Repair Project.

The project is addressing six structurally deficient bridges throughout Allegheny County.
