PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Allegheny Technologies is closing its Beaver County stainless steel plant in June.
The Tribune-Review reports the company says A and T Stainless Direct Roll and Pickle's closure is a result of steel tariffs.
The plant imports steel from Indonesia and paid $37 million in tariffs over the last two years since 25 percent federal tariffs went into effect.
