PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - South Allegheny Middle School and High School students were dismissed early Tuesday after a bedbug was discovered in the school.
Officials posted on the district’s website that pest control will treat the entire building, “including every classroom, the office areas and lockers (Tuesday) afternoon.”
The district stresses that just because one bug was spotted doesn’t mean there is an infestation but that in an abundance of caution the district will treat the school.
After the high school students are dismissed around 12:45 the middle/high school will be off limits.
Athletics have been moved to the SAE.
Classes for middle and high school students will not have classes Wednesday.
