City Of Pittsburgh Firefighter Unexpectedly Dies

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) – City officials have confirmed the sudden death of a City of Pittsburgh Firefighter.

Christopher Conway passed away on Monday according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.

The cause of Conway’s death has not been announced, but the Post-Gazette reports his family has stated it was non-COVID-19 related.

“Please keep Conway’s friends, fellow firefighters and family in your thoughts and prayers,” Public Safety said in a statement.

Mayor Bill Peduto also released a statement after the announcement of Conway’s passing.

Public Safety says more information will be released when it is made available.
