CHICAGO, Ill. (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) — Contigo is recalling 5.7 million children’s water bottles due to a choking hazard.

The Contigo Kids Water Bottle’s silicone spout can detach in a child’s mouth, causing a choking hazard.

The recall applies to plastic and stainless steel bottles with black spout bases and covers that flip open.

The bottles were sold at Costco, Walmart, Target and other stores nationwide and online on various websites from April 2018 through June 2019 for between $9 and $24.

Consumers can find out if their product is impacted and order a replacement lid here.
