HARRISBURG Pa (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Pennsylvania Department of Health has announced an additional 837 cases of COVID-19 in PA, 294 more than reported on Monday.

These new cases bring the total to 57,991 across the state of Pennsylvania.


The Department also confirmed an additional 75 deaths, 51 more than reported on Monday, bringing the statewide death total to 3,806.

2,611 of the total number of deaths have occurred in in residents of nursing or personal care home facilities.

To date, there have been 237,989 negative tests across the state.

Of the total confirmed cases, 12,301 have come from residents of nursing of personal care homes, as well as 1,724 employees, for a total of 13,854 at 540 different facilities across 44 counties.

Of the total number of cases, 3,923 have been health care workers.

The age breakdown:

  • Nearly 1% are aged 0-4;
  • Nearly 1% are aged 5-12;
  • 1% are aged 13-18;
  • Nearly 6% are aged 19-24; 
  • Nearly 37% are aged 25-49; 
  • 26% are aged 50-64; and
  • 28% are aged 65 or older.
