PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A COVID-19 vaccine is being tested in Pittsburgh. Both Allegheny County Health Department Director Debra Bogen and Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald are part of the Moderna vaccine trial.

The University of Pittsburgh and UPMC were taking volunteers.

"I think, you know, as the County Executive - we've been talking about this - I should do it as well. So, we put our names in, we volunteered, and then I guess we passed the test. They wanted us to be a part of it," Fitzgerald said during the KDKA Radio Morning Show on Thursday.

"It didn't hurt too much yesterday, but waking up this morning, just a little twitch," Fitzgerald said.
