
PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - While all nine Allegheny County Parks remain open, all facility rentals are canceled through April 6.
Those who have rented facilities will automatically receive full refunds.
In addition Hartwood Acres Mansion, Boyce Park Nature Center, North Park Golf Course, North Park Latodami Nature Center and South Park Golf Course are also closed through April 6.
Also all park ranger activities are canceled through April 6 along with Star parties scheduled for April 3 and 4 at Wagman Observatory in Deer Park, the Hartwood Acres Egg Hunt on April 4 and Cookies with Cottontail at North Park are all canceled.
Any sporting programs at the park set to begin between April 1 and April 18 will be postponed two weeks.
Anyone who wants to cancel a scheduled events beyond April 6 can also receive a full refund by emailing your name, permit/activity number and phone number to webmaster.parks@alleghenycounty.us or you can call 412-350-2455, weekdays between 8 a.m. through 4 p.m.
Outdoor areas and rest rooms are still open to the public and outdoor activities like walking, running, hiking and biking are permitted and encourage as long as participants engage in social distancing.
